2019 is coming to a close. At this time of the year, we often reflect on the year that has passed. Some of you have had a truly momentous year. Children and grandchildren have come into some of your lives. For others, careers have taken new courses or come to their conclusions. I am honored and humbled to have been a part of your lives.
All of us are now a year older and hopefully we are all wiser. Yet, for wisdom to pay a dividend, for it to make a difference in our lives, we must put that wisdom to work.
With age comes experience. Experience has taught me to be prepared for what life has in store for us. It has also taught me that we must take action to make our plans pay off.
What is financial planning, if not preparing ourselves for the lives we wish to live for the rest of our tomorrows.
As ever, we at Unified Planning Group remain committed, mind, body and spirit, to the realization of your visions and the achievement of your dreams. Let us look forward to making 2020 the year we will look fondly back at, as one in which we cast off behaviors we clutched to out of default, in favor of far more optimal ways of handling things, based on logical and fact driven design. Let us make 2020 the year we all embrace logic and evidence, over our sometimes dogmatic, unexamined and non-fact driven status quo.
We can live our dreams! For some of us that means sun, sea and our toes dug into the white sand of a beautiful beach – Pina colada optional! For others, it might be a tour of Europe or Asia. Some of us envision conquering Everest. Before all of that however, many of us need to get our kids through college!
We can live the lives we dream of with focus, work and a sound plan. We would be well advised not to leave our dreams to the mercy of capricious market cycles and wishing upon a star.
